Birkley Rayne Kadavy

If you haven't already heard the exciting news, I am a proud aunt to my sister Becky's second girl Birkley!!!

She was born yesterday morning at 9:38am in Manhattan, KS. Weighed an even 7lbs and was 20 1/2 inches long. Healthy and cute as a button!

Becky is a hairstylist at Studio V in Westmoreland. I currently live with her and her family and help her out at the salon.  The past few weeks she has been booked solid with hair appointments. If you know anything about my sister it's that she does not stop going! 9 months pregnant or not...she is on her feet all the time doing something. We were constantly telling her to sit down!  

Well...this past Monday she decided to mow the lawn.  I was going to see my friend Caley that day so I left feeling a little anxious that mowing may cause her to have the baby soon!  Sure enough, that morning I woke up and had two text messages on my phone-both from Becky. 

First one was at 1am saying she was headed to the hospital. Lots of contractions but water hasn't broke yet. Second one said, "False alarm! Heading home!"

So I got up and drove back to Westmoreland around 7:30am and as soon as I got to Junction City my mom called me to tell me Becky was in the hospital again!  

After they got home from the first hospital visit she was having a lot of contractions still. They were getting so bad that Becky decided she needed to head back to the hospital again! They got there I think around 8 or 8:30am and the doctor checked her and she was dilated to a 9!!!!!!  The only thing that was holding that baby back was the fact that her water hadn't broke yet!  An hour later Birkley arrived!!!  

So needless to say, Becky had another beautiful baby and made it look easy giving birth once again. She just got home today and is doing wonderful!
